See How a Posh Real Estate Developer Makes a Floating Island
Many people are actually dreaming of having their private vacation house. But this developer is going beyond just that. They are not after traditional vacation houses that any other property developer can do. They are after offering people a unique service: luxury private floating island.
With competition in the real estate sector going tighter, property developers should look for some ingenious ways on how to stay on top of the game and be ahead of the much more tightening competition.
In a bid to provide a unique and out-of-the box kind of experience to its clientele, two real estate companies, OQYANA Real Estate and Dutch Docklands, promised to wow their clients who want to have a floating and luxurious island of their own.
With Dutch Docklands' expertise in the field of the floating island, the team-up present a project called Amillarah Private Islands villas. The floating island villas will be part of OQYANA's World's Islands' project and will be constructed in Dubai.
In an article from ABCNews.go.com, OQYANA's CEO Paul Van de Camp said their floating island project will be one of its kind in the industry and they are the only one who has that kind of capacity to pull-off such a project. He said this will be the world's first floating island real estate project.
"Our 'Amillarah Private Islands' are completely self-supporting, scarless and all contain the latest state-of-the-art technology. Each one will be a piece of art that you can live in."
The project, that's already in a construction phase, has been approved last June with Nakheel as its master developer.
Every island villa will be having its individual amenities including private pool, garden, residence, and beach line, among others. Plus, privacy and security has been a major consideration by the developer considering its targeted high-profile residents.
Apart from the amenities and unique features of each island, residents will have the option to customize the shape as well as the size of the island according to the liking of the owner.
Koen Olthuis, the lead architect of Amillarah Private Islands said in the same article that the entire project will be using green technology and advance equipment to ensure the environmental sustainability of the island villas.
