Kesha's 'Mismatched' Venice Bungalow Part Ways for $1.9 Million
Kesha formerly bought a classic stunning Venice bungalow in 2014. This unconventional house-and-owner match headlines news from the start when the quirky and fashionably courageous pop star dropped the infamous dollar sign from her name after leaving rehab. Recently, the singer and this conventional Californian home are parting ways with the property on market list once more.
The allure of the three-bedroom house was never going to work with the performer, LA Curbed reported. However, it was the curved ceilings and white interiors that made it easy to spot the charm. A traditional fireplace and a vibrant carpet gave color to an otherwise conventional living room. There is also an art deco-esque chandelier which served as a lovely accent and given that the house was built in 1926, it is reportedly an original feature.
French-inspired doors connect the living areas of the house to the yard. With its outdoor fireplace, viney trellis, and converted garage which is now an office/studio, the backyard seems peaceful. The master bedroom also leads directly to the idyllic backyard through giant double doors. Its kitchen features a stone countertop, Viking stove, and powder white cabinets.
Kesha splurged $1.65 million in the summer of 2014, but it is now listed for $1.849 million. The performer is expected to see a bit of a profit from her short stay, LA Times reported.
Perhaps house interior design fans label celebrities with certain personas too quickly. For instance, a few people may be surprised to find out that Zooey Deschanel may not be as adorkable or quirky as her "New Girl" character. As for Kesha, maybe her aesthetic preference does not always conform to her glitter-covered, attention-grabbing image.
Kesha and her quaint Venice beach home is not what fans have expected from the singer, who has changed her hair color more times than what viewers can only keep count with. The modestly sized 1,600-square-foot home is a tranquil, understated retreat with over-the-top details.
